2 short questions (1 mark each) and an essay style question (10 marks. There is a choice of two questions.

A solo performance on their own, with an accompanist or solo/lead part in an ensemble

Composition using one of the set works as a stimuli
Composition 2- using another set work (from a different area of study) as a stimuli
Use the style and composing techniques attributed to one of the set works to create your own composition

Each of the 8 questions are from different set works, each question consisting of sub-questions.
Answer all questions in the exam book provided.
Tests the understanding of the set works through questions, relating to the context of music the piece (e.g. genre) and the analysis of the piece.
