Welcome to this week's newsletter.
I'd like to start by wishing you all a happy new year and hope you all enjoyed a restful break.
Those of you who attended our Carol Service on 18th December no doubt enjoyed the performances of the choir. Our Weekly Choir will run on Wednesdays in G1 starting next week.
Year 10 students had individual sessions with their tutors on Thursday this week to discuss their first report of the year. We hope that this was helpful for students to identify not just strengths, but also areas where any improvements could be made. Year 11 students will have an individual appointment with their form tutors on Friday next week to discuss their Mock Exam results.
On the subject of Year 11 students, there is much excitement and anticipation about receiving their Leavers Hoodies. These are not normally given out until February. This year, if a student has not had logs for non-uniform, they will get their hoodies early, on Monday 21st January. Those students who have had non-uniform logs will have to wait until Monday 25th February. I will be writing to parents and carers of these students separately. It should be made clear that the wearing of Leavers Hoodies is a privilege that can be removed if students are not wearing correct school uniform.
Thanks to those who attended the Help Your Child with GCSE Evening - please see newsletter for powerpoint. Also in this week's newsletter is some advice on the use of mobile devices.
I hope you have a peaceful weekend.
