Welcome to this week's newsletter.
I hope that you found the information evenings we held this week for Year 10 and Year 11 parents helpful. For Year 11 parents, college open evenings are coming up, and they are the natural follow on to last night's event.
We were delighted to see so many parents at the talk on 'Helping your Child through GCSEs'. A copy of the slides for the evening can be found here Yr 10 Parents exam support.pptm.
Hopefully, all students have now settled into their new classes. However, if there are any students who are having doubts about their option choices, they must see Mrs. Cumming on Monday or Tuesday. No option changes will be permitted after next week, as subjects are now getting too far into the curriculum for students to catch up.
Next week on Thursday lunchtime we have our annual General Knowledge Quiz in the main hall. It's open to all years and we hope to see as many students as possible participate. There are prizes in all year groups and the four top scorers will go through to our school Mastermind competition, which will take place later in the school year.
It would also be wonderful to see as many students as possible taking part in the Big Choir, which sings at our Christmas Carol Service in December. Rehearsals are starting on Monday at 3.15 next week. All are welcome!
I hope you have a restful weekend.
