School Newsletter Friday 24 May 2019

Welcome to this week's newsletter

It's hard to believe we have completed another half-term. So much has happened since Easter it is hard to keep track.  In this week's newsletter we read about the successes of our PE football teams, cricket teams and rounders' team. Individual success at Open Lead Climbing Competition. Our Art & DT Department have been creating some amazing work for the Open House Festival and we mustn't forget that Golden Ticket for the Children's Parade. Many of our students helped running stalls at the Stringer Festival on Saturday.

Our parents and carers have been busy too – thanks to our parent Fundraising Team, DOT and all those quizzers who attended Quiz Night on 10 May. Thanks too to our many sponsors who donated raffle prizes.

Four Year 7 tutor groups have visited Dolawen thanks to the continued support of Big Yellow.

We look forward to the last half-term of the year when school reopens on Monday 3 June on Week 1 of the timetable.

Our Stringer Learning Culture focus for the week starting Monday 3 June is punctuality – both to school in the morning and to lessons throughout the day.

I hope you have a restful break.
