Welcome to this week's newsletter
We are hoping to see a sizable number of students at Brighton beach tomorrow, 4pm by the West Pier, for a beach clearing session. This is something that has come out of the climate change protests that many of our students have participated in over the last few months. We are looking at the pledges these students have made to see what else we can do to honour them as a school.
Next week, we will be starting a one-way system to be used in the corridors at lesson changeovers in an attempt to make movement around the school much easier for all.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish a much loved colleague a very happy retirement. Mrs. Webster retires next Wednesday, on her birthday, having worked at Dorothy Stringer School for 52 years! Many of you will know Mrs. Webster from seeing her at Reception but prior to 2000 she was a Head of Year and a teacher at the school. I'm sure you will join us in wishing her every happiness for the future.
I hope you have a restful break.
