The information listed below is to inform you about the regulations, laid down by the Joint Council for Qualifications, covering coursework/controlled assessments and all on-screen tests/written external examinations sat at school. In particular we would like to draw your attention to the information relating to mobile phones, iPods and other similar devices.
It must be noted that the exam boards apply various sanctions if a candidate does not comply with the Joint Council regulations. This includes, but is not exclusive to, candidates who arrive late for an externally sat written exam. These sanctions can include having coursework/controlled assessment or exam papers being refused and the candidate being barred from sitting further examinations within a series.
As with all schools that conduct external examinations, we are visited, unannounced, by inspectors from the Joint Council for Qualifications, who represent the exam boards, and expect to see that the regulations are being adhered to by all concerned with the examinations.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Exams Office
at the school if you wish to discuss any concerns you may have about any of the information.
Important! Failure to abide by these warnings may result in your disqualification from the examination.
