Having Problems

If you can't Log on...

  • You must be a registered user to log in to the Gateway.
    If you are a parent of a student a Dorothy Stringer School, you must complete and return a registration form. This can be downloaded here
  • If you are registered but have forgotten your username or password, you can request a reminder here.

  • Please ensure that you are using one of the supported browsers listed below.
    Please note that ONLY the browsers listed here will work correctly with the Gateway.

If the gateway appears to hang when you download a file...

It is recommended that you select "This is a private computer" when connecting from home. This will ensure that you are not prompted for your password every time you download a file and will provide a richer interface.

However, please select "This is a public or shared computer" if you are logging on from an insecure location such as a library, a friend's house or an internet cafe".

General advice

It is expected that you will have up to date anti-virus software installed on your computer at home. If you do not, Avast is a good free product available from:
