At Dorothy Stringer we offer a range of opportunities for parents and carers to engage in sessions to support student wellbeing. These include sessions can be during the school day and after school covering a range of topics such as relationships and emotional health and wellbeing. The sessions give parents/carers an opportunity to meet and discuss issues that may affect them. Please click on the

Parent Support Network Meetings
We invite parents/carers to come along to parent/carer support meetings and discuss (or listen to others talk about) young people's mental health issues and the impact this has on young people and their families.
Talking To Your Teens
Dorothy Stringer School are working closely with our neighbouring school, Varndean, running a series of interactive parent sessions. Sessions include a variety of topics including :

Top tips from parents last night was to get on 'what's app' groups so that parents can communicate easily, as this is less easy than at primary school, and work together to keep our young folks safe.
