KS4 Separate Sciences

For those students who truly love their Science and would like to take it further we do offer the Separate Sciences option at GCSE where students can gain separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics through AQA.

The Separate Sciences course allows students to explore deeper into the complexities of the three subject areas increasing their knowledge of the true applications of science and preparing them for possible further education courses.

As this is an accelerated course, where the three GCSEs are covered in the curriculum time set aside for two GCSEs, we do have a selection procedure based on a student's current progression in Science and their overall attitude to learning.

All students will follow the new AQA Separate Sciences course leading to three GCSEs at the end of Year 11.  The choice of taking Separate Sciences is made during the options process at the end of Year 9.
